Thieves Don’t Want Your Pink Car

This isn’t the first time we’ve talked about how color affects more than just your car’s looks.

Last time it was red cars being more expensive to insure than any other color. Now it looks like the color of your car plays an important role as a theft deterrent.

It makes sense that a thief would try to avoid your unique, one of a kind, easily spotted car color and now there’s some data back it up. A study in the Netherlands conducted between 2004 and 2008 has tried to figure out a thief’s preferences and it seems they like black cars a lot more than any other color.
